  1. What’s their schedule like and how much does it cost? They are open 7 days a week from 11 to 11 and weekends from 9 to 9
  2. What class did you attend and with whom? Rock-climbing with some friends
  3. How did you feel before, during, and after? i was nervous before attending the gym because it was my first time, during the workout I tried my best to try as many levels but was not able to do much because my lack of upper body strenght, after i felt sore but sort of proud of what i was able to do.
  4. What did you learn, like, and dislike? I learned the different techniques needed to be able to climb difficult levels. I liked the feeling after accomplishing a hard level.
  5. Were you glad you went and would you recommend it to a friend? I was very glad of this experience and would deffinetly recommend

  1. What’s their schedule like and how much does it cost? the gym is open from 8 am to 10 pm everyday
  2. What class did you attend and with whom? I went alone
  3. How did you feel before, during, and after? Before working out i was tired, during the workout i was feeling energetic and after the workout i was sore
  4. What did you learn, like, and dislike? I learned about the different machines at the gym, even though its in my building i rarely go there. i liked the proximity but diisliked that it is small.
  5. Were you glad you went and would you recommend it to a friend? Im glad i went but sadly wont recommend anyone because it is for residents only

the gym is open 24h and it costs 4.99$ bi-weekly

i went with some friends and did a chest and arms workout

i felt tired throughout the whole workout and sore after

4. What did you learn, like, and dislike?

its a really cheap gym and i learned that i can benchpress 30% of my weight

yes i was glad and would recommend.

yes

  1. How do you think bad eating habits affects you or would affect you presently as a Vanier College student? Bad diet would affect concentraion levels and could lead to bad grades

  • Cardiovascular Endurance.
  • Muscular Strength.
  • Muscular endurance.
  • Flexibility.
  • Body Composition.

week 8

sorry i posted it late i’ve been working long hours as a pharmacy tech also was not able to workout with anyone because of quarantine

for my workout this week i walked around the neighborhood for an hour

Name one exercise for each of the following muscle groups:

Anterior deltoid: cable Shoulder Press,

biceps: standing dumbbell curl

Triceps: Floor Press

pectoralis major: arbell, dumbbell, or machine decline presses.,

erector spinae: deadlifts,

rectus abdominis: forearm plank,

gluteus maximus back squats,

hamstrings: hip extensions

quadriceps front squats

calves: Standing calf raise on elevated surface

after working out for 8 weeks i feel healthier and more in shape.


week 9

  1. Name a few of your stressors you are presently having. The uncertainty of the impact of covid-19
  2. Name a stress management technique you use to calm your stress and tame your thoughts. Working out, spending time with family
  3. When should dynamic stretches be perform during a workout? Before starting the workout
  4. What is the purpose of doing dynamic stretches? increasing blood flow to the muscles.

  1. What are the 6 essential nutrients? carbohydrate, protein, lipid (fat), water, vitamins, and minerals

    recommendations? plenty of vegetables and fruits , whole grain foods, protein and water as the drink of choice
  4. What does your plate look like for breakfast, lunch and supper? i dont have breakfast due to severe nausea and abdominal pain in the morning, my lunch usually is last nights leftovers and dinner is whatever my mom made that night which is mostly a middle eastern diet
  5. How could you improve your eating habits? increase dairy intake, natural vitmins instead of supplements.

since i have not been walking as much as before i decided to go on a walk as part of this weeks workout

i decided to once again take an opportunity to walk around as my workout due to the level of inactivity during this pandemic and from not having enough time because of the long hours i have been working as a pharmacy tech.
